Far from just a pretty face, the world fell in love with Maya Jama because of her stellar personality – she’s fun, straight-talking and friendly. But with curves for days and the sort of glowing skin that dreams are made of, she’s become Britain’s ultimate TV bombshell – and a treat to watch on our screens. The presenter – and British Vogue’s August cover star – seems to have a balanced routine sussed out. She works out, but enjoys the odd McDonald’s. She wears her SPF, but doesn’t always take her make-up off. And she knows how to party, while also prioritising time for herself. We would all do well to be a little bit more Maya.
The skin
Skin like Maya’s is a combination of good genetics and effective treatments – so says her facialist, Shane Cooper, whom she has been seeing regularly for around seven years. Harnessing the powers of lymphatic drainage and high-tech skin-boosting machines that work to sculpt, tighten and firm, Cooper mixes up the treatment protocol based on what Jama’s skin needs, and the events she has in her diary. “She has my bespoke Exclusive Face Treatment and the Aqua Tight, which exfoliates, removes impurities and oxygenates, too,” he says. “We use a lot of radiofrequency for collagen production, and when she has some time off, we often do microneedling.”
